My name is Sarah Moran.

 

I am a 23-year-old film & illustration 2024 graduate from Columbia College Chicago. I have been a visual artist since a young age, and have since then indulged in many different artistic disciplines.
 

Growing up, spending weekends at the movie theatre was my favorite past time. I was so moved by the joy that that this visual medium brought me and others, that I decided to be a part of the creation process. Going into my first film class in high school, with the help of my fine art & illustration background, I found a natural eye for visual color, composition Therefore, I put focus into both cinematography, video editing, and photography in my career.
 

I have particularly taken interested in music. Born and raised in Memphis, TN, it is a key part of my character. The first project I ever created with a crew was a music video in 2020, which was then screened at the Indie Memphis Youth Film Festival. My focus in this medium is telling of my visual style, in which I enjoy straying away from realism and exercise creative freedom with color, texture & timing in both cinematography and editing. I gain passion and inspiration from listening to music, and strive to pursue it in my film and art career to bring songs to visual life.
